About Us
Inspiring Community Through the Arts
Lake Community Arts was founded on a simple but powerful idea: the arts should be accessible to everyone. We believe that creative expression brings people together, builds connections, and strengthens communities. Our mission is to create inclusive, high-quality arts experiences that inspire, uplift, and unite.
Our Vision
We envision a community where the arts are woven into everyday life—where people from all walks of life can create, perform, and appreciate the power of artistic expression.
What We Do
Lake Community Choir
Bringing people together through the joy of singing, Lake Community Choir performs a wide range of music in welcoming, supportive environments.
Additional Programming (Coming Soon)
In the future, we plan to offer a community orchestra, band, youth choir, theatrical performances, educational programming, and other opportunities that celebrate the performing arts in all its forms.
Inclusive Performances
We present public concerts and events that showcase local talent and foster a sense of belonging for both performers and audiences.
Our Values

Inclusivity — Everyone deserves the chance to participate in and enjoy the arts.
Community — We believe in building connections through shared artistic experiences.
Excellence — We strive for high artistic standards while maintaining a welcoming, accessible atmosphere.
Joy — Above all, we celebrate the joy that music and the arts bring to life.
Meet Our Founder
Chad McClellan, Founder and Director, is a lifelong musician, conductor, and nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience in building arts programs that bring people together. His vision for Lake Community Arts originally began 15 years ago when he realized the need for a choir in the community. From there, the desire grew to create spaces where everyone—regardless of age, background, or experience—can find community through the arts.

Our Programs

Lake Community Choir
Our flagship program, the Lake Community Choir, is open to all singers ages 14 and up—no experience required. This non-auditioned ensemble brings together voices from across Lake County and beyond to perform a wide variety of choral music in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Whether you’re an experienced singer or someone who simply loves to sing, the Lake Community Choir offers an opportunity to connect, make music, and be part of something joyful and meaningful. Rehearsals focus on skill-building, community, and artistic excellence, culminating in public performances that celebrate the power of music to bring people together.
Who Can Join?
Everyone ages 14 and up is welcome—no experience necessary.
What Do We Sing?
A diverse range of choral music, including classical, contemporary, patriotic, spirituals, popular, seasonal favorites, and more.
Why Join?
To make music, meet new people, and help build a vibrant community through shared artistic experiences.
What’s Next?
The Lake Community Choir is just the beginning. We are actively working to expand our programming to include additional ensembles, youth programming, workshops, and creative events in the near future. Our vision is to create a thriving hub for the arts—where people of all ages can sing, learn, create, and grow together.
Stay tuned as we continue to build new opportunities for artistic expression, community engagement, and joyful creativity.
